		Eskdale is a beautiful, unspoilt valley. The 'real' Lake District. With Wasdale over the hill and Scafell Pike between us, it may be further to get here but it's well worth the trip.					For those who are not into walking the high fells there are low level wood and moorland walks where you don't have to stray too far from the road. Hardknott fort is at the top of the valley and the "Laal Ratty" miniature steam railway just 1 mile away.
